Hey everyone,
After teaching English in South Korea from August 2009-2011, which I documented almost daily on blog Only in Korea 87, I came back home to D.C.
From October 2011 to March 2012, I interned at a B2B publishing company and an education website while working part-time at a soul-food restaurant. I learned so much about writing and a lot about life. I’m also a published author, which of course, makes me super cool! During those six months, I looked for work that blended my passion for writing and media. Honestly, it was a tough road, but certainly not a dead end–life goes on!
I switched jobs in March, and have worked at a Korean restaurant since. I scoop rice, refill sauce containers and cashier like a champ. Really, I do!
In June 2012, I’ll be leaving to teach English for a year. I’m really excited! Life is too short not to make the best out of it–and I choose to stay healthy, have fun, spend time with awesome people and help the community where I live.
So, enjoy my journey while I’m at home. I will blog about my Beijing adventure on a new WordPress blog soon!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more!
