Louis C.K. is smart and I agree with what he said. No one likes being alone. As soon as you feel lonely and sad, you immediately distract yourself from feeling it. In most cases, you feel the urge to use your phone, either checking Facebook or texting someone you know.
Life is tough, but sometimes it’s best to really take it in. I’m like that and it might be because I don’t have a phone that’s “smart”–mine just makes/takes calls and texts. Nothing fancy.
Living simply makes it that much easier to live without the newest things. If you have a notebook with internet connection, you’re still socially connected. Filling the void is all that matters anyway, right?
